Instructions for Initial Conditions
The initial condition refers to a simple starting point that, when the system is set into motion, is radically transformed into an unpredictable result. Works for this exhibition describe the initial condition by which an artwork can be made or enacted. The pieces need not be actually realizable; in other words, they can be impossible or purely conceptual. Each piece printed on an 8.5 x 11” sheet of paper.

Searching for God
Searching for God is an exhibition focusing on the visual appearance of God, the manifestations or divine actions of God, and individual explorations or processes of searching for God. It showcases visual and documentary material describing successful or unsuccessful searches for God, through forms such as prayer, meditation, a journey or pilgrimage, religious study, fasting, scientific exploration. What is the visage of God or how does God reveal him/herself (with the remission of a fatal disease, in the defeat of a sports team, in an oil stain under the freeway)? How do we search for God? What do we find? And what do these findings reveal?
